Welcome to Johnny V’s! We’re so glad you’re here! If you’ve been with us before, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, your Real MI BBQ experience starts now! We start with locally sourced woods; apple, cherry, and hickory from local farms right here in Michigan. As Traverse City is the cherry capital of the world and Kevin’s hometown, we infuse cherry fruit into our signature sauces. We love to showcase Michigan products whenever possible.

  I've been going to Johnny V's for years. I do miss the bigger location that burned down. The food is great. I love the Mac and cheese, fries, and my old favorite that I don't believe they do anymore: the grilled cheese-it.
The BBQ is gluten friendly, but sadly, I believe the spice on the fries is not.
